Where To Dispose of Styrofoam

Styrofoam makes up over 25% of space in landfills. You can help avoid this by using local recycling options:

Bring your Styrofoam any day between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm to the Clifton Recycling Center at 900 Clifton Avenue in the back on Linzenbold Avenue.

No residence ID is required and there is no charge. Clifton has Styrofoam densifying equipment and sells what they condense. By processing Styrofoam from other communities, they pay off the equipment cost.

What Clifton Accepts and How to Prepare It

  • Clean protective Styrofoam used in shipping: white, hard molded pieces and foam sheets used to protect furniture & e-commerce deliveries, foam coolers.

  • Styrofoam is marked with a number 6 recycling symbol, Styrofoam® or “EPS”

  • Remove any tape, paper, cardboard from the Styrofoam.

❌ What Clifton CANNOT Accept

  • Styrofoam egg cartons, cups and food trays / plates (even if clean/unused)

  • Styrofoam packing peanuts

  • Colored Styrofoam

  • Insulation foam panels

  • Flexible or film foam

Where are Packing Pellets accepted in Montclair?

  • The UPS Store, 41 Watchung Plaza, (973) 744-6611

  • Montclair Shipping Plus, 551 Valley Road, (973) 746-5500

I teach intro physics and I've been hunting for a good interactive demo of aliasing. This moire generator lets students drag one grid over another in real time — the "aha" moment happens in about ten seconds. PNG export is a nice bonus for slide decks.

Built a 30-piece heart-shaped puzzle with a photo from our first trip to Lyon and slipped an engagement question onto the back of one piece.

Took me maybe ten minutes to get the layout right, which was way less stressful than I expected for something this sappy.

Printed a stack of word search puzzles for adults for our long flight. Kept the four of us quiet and happy for three hours.
